Inspired by the classic shape of Rita Ora‘s Ralph & Russo dress, Celebrity Makeup Artist Kathy Jeung kept the focus on her complexion and eyes.

1. After washing, toning and moisturizing the face, she applied Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Primer to the skin.
2. She then applied Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Correct below the eyes to erase dark circles.
3. Afterwards, she applied Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in Light/Medium with her ring finger, in a tapping motion underneath the eyes to blend into the rest of the face.
4. Jeung mixed Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25HR Foundation in 303 True Nude with a small amount of Rimmel London Good to Glow Highlighter in 003 Soho Glow to give her skin luminosity, by applying it with a flat foundation brush in broad strokes over the face, and then blended with a damp sponge to give a natural looking finish.
5. She set the foundation with Rimmel London’s #Insta Fix & Matte Translucent Powder, helping to keep the forehead, the sides of the nose and the cheeks shine-free.
6. Moving on to the cheeks, she used Rimmel London Kate Moss Sculpting & Highlighting Kit in Golden Sands to highlight the tops of the cheekbones, above the jawline and down length of the nose.
7. She contoured the hollows under her cheekbones, just under her jawbone and under her chin using a narrow wedge brush and applied the blush using a rounded brush on the apples of her cheeks and extended towards the temples.
8. She finished the cheeks by applying Rimmel London Insta Duo Contour Stick to highlight along the tops of the cheekbones and blend with a damp sponge.
9. Next came the eyes. Jeung applied the beige shade of the Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Shadow Contouring Palette Blush Edition to the browbone and blended the matte taupe color into the crease.
10. Then she applied Rimmel London ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick in Witness White to the inner corners of the eyes and blended for a trace of highlight.
11. She added Rimmel London Oh My Gloss in Clear to the eyelids for a glossy, high shine.
12. She lined the eyes using Rimmel London ScandalEyes Precision Micro Eyeliner in Black to create a very narrow wing along the lashline.
13. She finished off by applying two coats of Rimmel London Shake It Fresh Mascara in Black to the upper lashes only to help lengthen and thicken them.
14. After completing the eyes, she used Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil to fill in and extend the brow shape.
15. Then she used Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Pomade in Medium to softly add color and keep the brow hairs in place.
16. To finish off, she used the Rimmel London Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil to lift the arches of the brows and add highlight to the brow bones.
17. And finally, she applied Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Plum This Go for a dark, bold lip.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Jessica Smalls said she wanted to give Janelle Monae both a timeless and current look, so she went with a Twiggy 2018 vibe.

1. The night before the Grammy Awards, she began prepping her skin with Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask to help give the skin a natural glow.
2. She then took it to the next level by giving her a light 5-minute steam, and then massaging Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate all over her face and along her neck, followed by Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.
3. Then she applied Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado around her eyes, using her ring finger, to keep that delicate area moisturized.
4. With a soft blending brush, she applied Buxom Cosmetics Eyeshadow Bar Single Eyeshadow in Lingerie Lover, Haute Couture and LBD to the crease of the eye.
5. Smalls then lined the water line with Buxom Cosmetics Hold The Line Waterproof Eyeliner in shade Ring My Bell and swept the Buxom Cosmetics Eyeshadow Bar Single Eyeshadow in Twilight Tryst on top to make the green pop.
6. She then used Eylure Luxe Silk “Trillion” false lashes and then applied a few individual lashes on the bottom for a “Twiggy” effect.
7. For long and plump lashes, she used Buxom Cosmetics Big Tease Plumping Mascara.
8. Now that the moisturizer has had plenty of time to penetrate the skin, she applied a pore minimizing primer all over her face with a synthetic brush.
9. Then she used a damp sponge to apply Buxom Cosmetics Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation In the Dark and Buxom Cosmetics Divine Goddess Luminizer all over the face, starting by her nose and blending upwards and outwards.
10. Using her ring finger, she sparingly dabbed some concealer under the eyes to brighten them.
11. Smalls contoured the face, focusing on the cheeks, temples and forehead with Buxom Cosmetics Hot Escapes Bronzer in Maldives, which gives off the perfect sun-kissed color and flatters all skin tones.
12. Then she applied a soft pink to the apples of her cheeks, with some Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream on top for a subtle glow.
13. She then kept the lips hydrated with Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1.
14. Afterwards, she filled them in slightly with Buxom Cosmetics Plumpline Lip Liner in Stealth.
15. She finished the look with Buxom Cosmetics Full-On Lip Polish in Megan for a high-shine.
