Doris Bergman‘s 3rd Annual Primetime Emmy Style Lounge at Cafe La Boheme in West Hollywood, California drew the likes of Emmy Nominees Mare Winningham (Hatfields & McCoys), Dot Marie Jones (Glee), Jason Ritter (Parenthood), Ben Feldman (Mad Men) and Stacey Tookey (So You Think You Can Dance) amongst other tv stars including Eva LaRue and the legendary William Shatner.
Guests donated new and unwrapped gifts for children ages 13-17 for a Pre-Holiday Gift Drive that benefitted Wednesday’s Child, a weekly segment that airs on KTTV FOX 11 News, Los Angeles, with anchor Christine Devine, who also attended the event. The segment highlights ‘harder to place’ children in the Los Angeles County foster care system who are in need of adoptive families. “In Los Angeles County, alone, there are over 35,000 children receiving child welfare services,” social worker William Wong said. “This event reached far beyond the Hollywood ‘glitz’ and into the heart and soul. Gift donations to the ‘Wednesday’s Child’ Pre-Holiday Gift Drive from event Sponsors has been overwhelming and, most importantly, we have formed new relationships that will extend outside of today! Additionally, Bergman invited two foster children to join in on the festivities and experience what it felt like to be treated as a VIP — the love from the sponsors was tremendous!” added Wong.

She said, “I just came for the kids — I don’t want anything — I just want to help the kids.”
