Soap Stars get red carpet ready at the 2008 Dazzling Daytime Emmy Suites

Tonight, the stars of daytime television will head out to the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. But before they celebrate their big night, these soap stars visited the 2008 Dazzling Daytime Emmy Suite for two days of pampering and gifts.
The event was hosted by BriteSmile in Beverly Hills where stars like Deidre Hall (Days of Our Lives) and Don Diamont (Young and the Restless) received a gift certificate for two years of free teeth whitening services. They also took home new-age ceramic styling tools and products from Hai Elite for beautiful healthy hair, Electric Body skincare, an all-natural New Zealand line that includes a skin elixir, body spray, and body polish, and Model in a Bottle makeup setting spray. |
To get camera ready for the big night, BriteSmile whitened teeth on site. Nailtini offered manicures and pedicures, and Spa 415 of Beverly Hills gave skin a glow with the Hydrafacial, a liquid microdermabrasion.
Guests also got glammed up with the latest fashions for men and women. Liz Alpert gave away her one-of-a-kind spiritual jewelry that has healing properties. This included her new Love and Gratitude medallion, original skull bracelets that are hand-carved in Tibet out of Tibetan stones and combined with natural gemstones, and earrings. They also accessorized with beautiful and edgy diamond pieces from Heavenly Sinful Jewels and the newest handbags and clutches from Charlie Lapson. And since a purse can’t go without the perfect pair of shoes, thank goodness Devani was on hand with shoes that the nominees can wear to the awards show and then wear them again the next day with denim for a casual look. The ladies had to have it and their guys couldn’t wait to see it on them—it’s the intimate apparel line for women by Sensual Mystique that includes corsets and more for all shapes and sizes because they believe all women are sexy. Because guys hate to shop, Eton of Sweden came to the rescue with their formal, dressy, and wrinkle-free shirts and cufflinks. To cap it off, guests also received complimentary accommodations from the newly renovated Hotel Le Petit in West Hollywood and Glo to Sleep masks to help them get some rest before their big day.
And when the daytime stars were done enjoying all the great services and gifts, they enjoyed gourmet coffee beverages provided by Aroma Café Culture, delicious Bodega Chocolates, Hypnotiq Liquer, and Fred spring water.

Stars show up to TV Land and MTV Movie Award Gifting Suites
Oh how tempting it was to call Barry Williams, Gary Coleman and Dawn Wells by their beloved tv characters Greg Brady, Arnold Jackson, and Mary Anne at the Distinctive Asset’s TV Land Gifting Suite on Sunday, June 8th. These tv legends were joined by today’s stars which included Teri Hatcher, William Shatner, and Samuel L. Jackson where they received a bundle of products to celebrate the 6th Annual TV Land Awards. Here’s the tally:
Who doesn’t love clothes, luckily there were plenty to go around. Mek Denim gave out their men and women jeans which are named after destinations such as Bangkok, San Diego, and Malibu. The ladies were bummed that Tankfarm only carries rock ‘n roll inspired clothes for men, but they were happy to pick out hip tees, button-ups, sweatshirts, jackets, and ties for the men in their lives. But the ladies didn’t pout for too long, Penny Marshall and Dawn Wells fell in love with the fun tees, hats, and bags from Chick Necessities. The weather may be warming up, but it still gets cold near the beach, especially at night, which is why Samuel L. Jackson picked out Big Feet Pajama pj’s for himself and his wife to keep warm in.
Marchon gifted Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses, just in time for summer and Thirsty Towels gave away bathrobes in white, baby blue, and beige. Travis Hedemann showed off his playful artwork from his Young At Heart Art collection, which Samuel L. Jackson was so impressed by that he asked him to email him a few paintings that he would like him to do and Dawn Wells thought his art would be perfect for the Idaho Film Festival. Celebs also received Play by Play so they can announce games like their favorite sportscasters and Ful backpacks to carry around all their essentials including laptops.
Teri Hatcher said she couldn’t wait to go in to get her 2-hour customized facial at the Skinsations Spa in Orange County. In the meantime, she will be using the Leaine Dehmer Clinical Skincare line by owner and skin behaviorist, who else, but Leaine Dehmer. Color Edge Hair Care has styling and haircare products that were a hit with both the men and women. Henry “The Fonz” Winkler loved the scent of their men’s line Johnny B. and Samuel L. Jackson was excited about taking home their 2-in-1 shower and shaving product.

Oscar suites ‘08- what celebs got
Celebrities who visited the WOW! Creations Lifestyle Oscar Gift Lounge at the Hyatt hotel in West Hollywood were greeted with Vera Bradley bags to put their goodies in. They filled up on beauty products such as gift certificates to SmileWorks, the first medical and dental spa in Redondo Beach where stars can rejuvenate their skin and their smile; the Nail Art Diva Diva Basics Kit to decorate nails in different colors and designs at home; and skin and body products from Pure Body, an all natural, eco-friendly line that includes Citrus Body Butter, Lavendar Avocado Oil for Hair & Skin, and Anise flavored Shea Butter Lip Balm. South Beach Skincare gave away Anti-Wrinkle Lotion to prevent and repair wrinkles and Saphoros Spa Essentials had three different skincare lines to choose from one of which included Organic Pumpkin Mask, Botanical toner, Organic lip balm & lip scrub. After receiving all these fabulous beautifying gifts, they stepped into the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy chamber to help detoxify their bodies of toxins.
When it came to food and drinks, there was quite a selection too. Celebs like reality star Omarosa snacked on Corazonas heart healthy chips, which are delicious and help lower cholesterol; fruits covered in Valrhona chocolate from Fruits to Remember, and took home Fudge is my Life chocolate sauces. Then they washed it all down with alcohol from The Margarita King, or Goji Grand Liquer which uses real Goji to help improve vision, strengthen liver function, and reduce cholesterol and blood pressure. If they weren’t drinking, they re-energized with Java Monster, the new coffee flavored drink from Monster Energy Drink, which has the caffeine of regular coffee but twice the buzz, or replenished with Hint Water and took home some True Lemon powder mix that can be added to water to make lemonade or used for teas and other delicious recipes requiring a fresh lemon taste.
Artists Rose Yoko and Sonya Paz showed off their distinct works. Yoko gifted beautiful headbands and barrettes while Paz showcased her art on mugs, dog dishes and other items. Celebs also picked up beaded bracelets in a variety of colors from Jewelry Television and Prensus adjustable purse hangers so they’ll never have to place their designer bags on the floor ever again.
At the 9900 Club in Beverly Hills, Debbie Durkin held her annual Main Event Red Carpet Lounge where celebrities walked away with gifts for themselves and their pets. Diedre Hall of Days of Our Lives took home bead and gemstone jewelry from Alyse Ziede, one-of-a-kind handmade pieces using Mother of Pearl, Swarovski crystals, and semi-precious stones from Heather Hyde, Michelle Roy jewelry and luxury watches from Curtis & Co.

Celebrities Win at Emmy Suites
At the Sonya Dakar Beauty Boot Camp & Gifting Lounge, celebrities received signature treatments by the skincare maven, eyelash extensions, lash applications, hair styling, manicures and pedicures, and so much more.
America’s favorite Idol judge, Paula Abdul, just couldn’t get enough of the suite. She fell in love with her lash application by Ja’Maal Buster of Fab’Lous Lashes and the Sonya Dakar UltraLuxe Facial, that she scheduled another appointment for both right before the Emmy’s. Of course, Paula did a little shopping while she was there, picking up a matching python clutch and belt with an interchangeable rhinestone clip from Cecelia Accessories. Most of all, she’s looking forward to taking her 5-star Caribbean Escapes Belize trip, which comes complete with a spa package.
Cast members from the hit Broadway musical Wicked stopped by the SunStyle LA sunless tanning booth for a full body contouring sunless airbrush tan and took home cases of ICIO, a breath freshening water for the rest of the cast.
It was no accident that Emmy winner Jaime Pressly looked radiant as she gave her victory speech. She has Sonya Dakar to thank for her glowing skin. Jaime’s pre-Emmy skincare treatment included the Sonya Dakar UltraLuxe Facial, Red Light Collagen Therapy, and Oxygen Treatment.

While the stars visited the annual suite, they signed the Sonya Dakar Pink Jet Set Travel Kit that includes must-have Facial Fitness basics for perfect skin, which will be auctioned off for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to support the efforts of CancerCare.
The Madison & Mulholland suite at the swanky Sofitel Hotel was the only gifting event to be completely interactive. Celebrities such as Scott Baio of 45 and Single proudly knitted for charity who knew Scott could knit? He also experienced the Magnolia Audio/Video media room, which featured the Pioneer Elite 2008 Flat Screen TV and $20,000 Martin Logan speakers.

Celebs Clean up at the MTV Movie Award Gifting Suites
You may have seen all the on-screen action at the MTV Movie Awards, but what you didn’t see were the pre-event festivities where celebs received amazing goodies. So here’s the scoop.
This year the Silver Spoon Buffet went green by helping raise money for the Environmental Media Association (EMA) and by also having celebrities collect their freebies in environmentally friendly cloth bags from Whole Foods.
License2Bling Swarovski crystal plate frames were a big hit with all the stars! Kim Kardashian owns a pink Swarovski crystal for her pink accented Range Rover, and Rod Stewart’s offsprings, Kim and Sean each have one of their own so they’ll always have a rockin’ ride. These plate frames are so popular, that Paris Hilton will be getting a limited edition pink and silver polk-a-dot plate frame, made just for her, when she gets out of jail. License2Bling wants Paris Hilton to know “that although she may have lost her license to drive, she will never lose her License2Bling!”
Soap stars Deidre Hall and Kristian Alfonso (Days of Our Lives) don’t ever have to worry about another bad hair day. They walked away with the new Infiniti Conair Cordless Hair Straightener and Scunci No-Slip Grip high-tech hair accessories to keep every last strand looking perfect.
Haylie Duff just couldn’t get enough of Tulle.
