Paranormal Activity DVD release
By Abbey Khan
Paranormal Activity is out on DVD and Blu-ray today, but one lucky lady won the chance to see the unrated version of the film in her home yesterday. Paramount Home Entertainment hosted the world premiere screening at Jessica DiMeo’s home in Rehoboth, MA, which was attended by the movie’s writer/director Oren Peli.
DiMeo also received a new home theater system that includes a Panasonic VIERA, a brilliant 42″ flat-panel plasma HDTV featuring a 600Hz subfield drive and true 1080p high-definition resolution; and a Panasonic 1000W 7.1-Channel Home Theater System with a Blu-ray disc player and a built-in dock for Apple® iPod and VIERA CAST support.

Paranormal Activity is available as a single-disc DVD and two-disc Blu-ray that includes both the original theatrical version and unrated version with an alternate ending. The Blu-ray also includes a digital copy of the theatrical version. A small quantity of Paranormal Activity Limited Collector’s Edition DVDs is also being sold online, which includes the single-disc DVD plus an authentic film cell from the movie on a collectible trading card and an individually numbered, limited edition t-shirt.
