GBK and Boom Boom Room celebrate 2009 Golden Globes

Just down the street from the Golden Globe Awards, GBK held their annual gifting suite at the 9900 Club in Beverly Hills where celebrities such as Amanda Bynes, Selena Gomez and AnnaLynne McCord picked up a ton of goodies.

As these celebs walked in, they munched on organic delicacies from Eco Caters and even took home their organic chocolates. They had a slice of Hansen cakes, which has been around for seven generations and washed it down with Verve, a new organic energy drink.

Metropolis introduced their new wet/dry flat iron while Hairlocs International gave willing actresses extensions valued at $3000 without using heat, glue or braids, and SuperStar offered manicures and pedicures with their assortment of nail polish colors. Guests also received the very popular Revitalash eyelash conditioner, Whish body care line, an all-in-one foundation, concealer, and blush from Mistura Beauty, a gift certificate for one year of microdermabrasion, facials and peels from Dr. Gabriel Chu at bhps, and Earring-Aid, a wrap-around reinforcement strip that supports your earlobe and makes wearing earrings feel light and care free.

They were also introduced to new technology such as the PakSeat, a backpack that turns into a seat, the Mophie Juice Pack, which recharges your iPhone battery so you can use it a lot longer, ShareBuds ear phones, which allows two people to listen to music on an mp3 player simultaneously, and Buzztime passed out their trivia games and game systems.

Even if they don’t take home a Golden Globe, they’ll be able to fill that space on their mantle with a steel sculpture by Jeff Owen. Moms to be can cherish their pregnancy forever by having their bellies plastered at home and then sending it in to Original Belly Works to fiberglass it. Hope Jeans gifted their new handmade dog line, Crystal Ninja gave out gift certificates for celebrities to send in their personalized items to be decorated with Swarovski crystals, Lester Carpet Company customized rugs for the event and gave away 5×8 shag rugs, and Nordic Naturals gifted an assortment of their vitamins to keep celebrities healthy all year round.

The four charities this suite benefited include Isiah Washington’s Gondobay Manga Foundation, which helps better the lives of the people in Sierra Leone one village at a time by building roads, supplying electricity and water, and many more basic needs that are crucial to their existence; Homeless Not Toothless provides free dental care to the homeless and under served; Educating Young Minds provides supplemental education and counseling to inner city and high risk students; and Hollywood Note Foundation helps the Hollywood community promote and raise funds for their charities.

Celebrity parents and their kids including Ali Landry and Joey Lawrence were greeted with a plethora of products from hair accessories to car seats and strollers at the Boom Boom Room’s Children’s Gifting Wonderland at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City.

Little celebrity princesses received no slip hair accessories from No Slippy Hair Clippy. My Rock and Roll Baby not only gave out no slip hair clips and headbands, but also rock themed clip on ties for the little celebrity princes. Babies could also don hip Rock’n Roll Infant hats sporting a Swarovski crystal or rhinestone peace sign by Pink Axle while sucking on a personalized pacifier from My Pacifier or possibly a designer stainless steel baby bottle from Oraganic Kidz while their parents cruised the rooms. Toddlers also enjoyed their favorite drinks in a Phillips Avent insulated sippy cup that has a flip top lid to prevent leaking. Baby and toddler clothes included the Baby Merlin Magic Sleepsuit, which is designed to help babies sleep better who are too big for swaddling, Nursery Rhyme t-shirts, blankets, scarves, and sweaters from Under Cover Inc., and cleverly packaged Bonbon Cupcakes’ microfiber ruffled leggings.

Expectant celebrity moms were given chic labor and delivery gowns by B.Y.O.G. Breast feeding the babies couldn’t be more fashionable with the soft and sexy nursing attire designed by Larrivo and Titi Collection, and nursing covers from Peekaboo Products and Bebe au Lait. Moms were also given stylish and practical Smart Mom teething bling, which included a necklace and bracelet made from quality teething material for their little ones to chew on. They were also gifted a Boujie Baby couture diaper bag, or they could instantly turn any purse or backpack into a diaper bag with the “Lil Angel Face” Roll-n-Go Rollable Diaper Caddy.

Buggy Baggs, an all in one shopping cart seat cover, diaper bag and changing pad, infant car seats and strollers by Chicco, custom handmade wagons by West Coast Wagons, and durable labels for children and their things from Mabel’s Labels were on display and available for orders.

Me and My Peeps Custom board books highlighting family pictures and Child to Cherish gift sets of hand print kits, matching and personalized piggy banks and frames offered their products for keepsake memorabilia. Buckley Boo stuffed animals and mocobabies infant and signing flash cards were toys given to parents to help their children with developmental learning and communication skills.

During the long day of browsing and mingling, children could snack on Tasty Baby organic baby food and cookies or join their parents with a bowl of delicious Baskin Robbins ice cream.

The Booom Boom Room benefited the Jayneoni Moore Children’s Fund, which provides funding to foster children in Los Angeles as well as reading programs and books for low income areas.
