Oh how tempting it was to call Barry Williams, Gary Coleman and Dawn Wells by their beloved tv characters Greg Brady, Arnold Jackson, and Mary Anne at the Distinctive Asset’s TV Land Gifting Suite on Sunday, June 8th. These tv legends were joined by today’s stars which included Teri Hatcher, William Shatner, and Samuel L. Jackson where they received a bundle of products to celebrate the 6th Annual TV Land Awards. Here’s the tally:

Who doesn’t love clothes, luckily there were plenty to go around. Mek Denim gave out their men and women jeans which are named after destinations such as Bangkok, San Diego, and Malibu. The ladies were bummed that Tankfarm only carries rock ‘n roll inspired clothes for men, but they were happy to pick out hip tees, button-ups, sweatshirts, jackets, and ties for the men in their lives. But the ladies didn’t pout for too long, Penny Marshall and Dawn Wells fell in love with the fun tees, hats, and bags from Chick Necessities. The weather may be warming up, but it still gets cold near the beach, especially at night, which is why Samuel L. Jackson picked out Big Feet Pajama pj’s for himself and his wife to keep warm in.

Marchon gifted Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses, just in time for summer and Thirsty Towels gave away bathrobes in white, baby blue, and beige. Travis Hedemann showed off his playful artwork from his Young At Heart Art collection, which Samuel L. Jackson was so impressed by that he asked him to email him a few paintings that he would like him to do and Dawn Wells thought his art would be perfect for the Idaho Film Festival. Celebs also received Play by Play so they can announce games like their favorite sportscasters and Ful backpacks to carry around all their essentials including laptops.

Teri Hatcher said she couldn’t wait to go in to get her 2-hour customized facial at the Skinsations Spa in Orange County. In the meantime, she will be using the Leaine Dehmer Clinical Skincare line by owner and skin behaviorist, who else, but Leaine Dehmer. Color Edge Hair Care has styling and haircare products that were a hit with both the men and women. Henry “The Fonz” Winkler loved the scent of their men’s line Johnny B. and Samuel L. Jackson was excited about taking home their 2-in-1 shower and shaving product.

On the rooftop of The Valadon Hotel in West Hollywood, the Secret Room held their Caribbean Style Retreat in honor of the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. Film, tv stars, and other celebrities such as former American Idol contestants Justin Guarani and David Hernandez, Adrienne Curry, the first season winner of America’s Next Top Model, soap star Michelle Stafford, recording artists Samantha Mumba, Lil’ Romeo, Snoop Dog, and so many more stopped by to celebrate the occasion. Here’s a taste of what they left with:

Beauty junkies loved the Phi Beauty tourmaline ceramic flat iron which has a rounded barrel to create waves, curls, and silky straight styles while eliminating static and frizz. ButterflyBodies.com gifted skincare, makeup, fragrance, bath and body products, clothes and accessories sold on their website that includes Smashbox cosmetics, Juicy Couture, and Versace. Of course, beauty starts on the inside which is why The Vitamin Shoppe had many items on hand. One of their most popular ones was the BioSil vegetarian capsules which reduces fine lines and wrinkles, thickens and strengthens hair, strengthens nails, and promotes healthy bones and joints. And for those girls who wanted a little extra boost without surgery, Pure Style Girlfriends was on hand with their Jump-a-Cup and Bump-a-Cup bra inserts.

Kids and adults alike couldn’t wait to take home Zoobie Pets to display on their beds as a stuffed animal, to use as a soft pillow or open up to reveal a blanket. The women went gaga over L’ovedbaby super soft onesies, caps, and bottle trees. Celebrity moms Halle Berry, Brooke Shields, and Courtney Thorne-Smith are already fans of the line. Moms also received gift certificates for their kids to visit the Malibu Children’s Dental Center so kids can stay cavity-free.

In Hollywood, even pets enjoy the royal treatment, which is why Baywatch babe Tracy Bingham couldn’t wait to get her dog into one of the furnishings by Bulldog Bed and Company. They provides man’s best friend with luxurious furniture such as “Nights of Arabia” canopy bed and “Pawdora’s Box” trunk bed with storage for toys and clothing.

Gadgets and accessories that bling– Turtle Wireless showed off their B-Dazzle line of cell phone and iPod accessories that includes Bluetooth headsets, protective covers, and carrying cases. Norton 360 was on hand giving away their 2.0 version which keeps both Macs and PC’s sound and safe from viruses, spyware, phishing and more.

Celebs also took home Bejeweled tops and hats, Stript vegan makeup, Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen products, and gift certificates for relaxing massages from The Right Touch mobile massage company.

When they weren’t picking up goodies, guests lounged around the pool in furnishings designed by Events By Noonan while enjoying delicious food and drinks from Starbucks Doubleshot + Coffee energy drinks, Hpnotiq liqour tropical drinks, Hint Water, Activate drinks, One Coconut Juice, gourmet cookies from Feel Cookie Good, gourmet Mexican cuisine from Chipolte Grille, chocolate and candy covered pretzels from Pretzables and Baskin Robbins candy from BestSweet, Inc.

At the GBK 2008 MTV Gifting Suite at the Kress Center in Hollywood, celebrities like Jason Priestly, Antonio Sabato, Jr., Tracy Bingham, David Hernandez of American Idol, former teen pop star Tiffany, Beverly Mitchell, and Rob Buckley of Lipstick Jungle had quite a load to carry out.

While watching one of their own shows or movies at home, celebs can make popcorn in an old-fashioned popcorn maker by Nostalgia Electrics. Working in the biz means getting up early, so who has time to eat. Now they can have a healthy nutrition bar they’ve created by You Bar on their way to work or in between shoots. But if they do have a little time, they can make their favorite fruit juice or smoothie in their new TriBest Personal Blender and take it with them.

After a long night of partying, it’s nice to have The Cure. This hangover remedy rehydrates the brain and body replacing nutrients lost during alcohol consumption. But celebrities will also be using it on the plane when they’re flying to their next getaway or film location to help them from getting sick on their flight. Clear up red eyes with Twinkle The Beauty Drop. It enhances the eye color while increasing the appearance of alertness, beauty and intensity.

Who could blame Antonio Sabato, Jr. for falling in love with IceRok jewelry. Their Gold line includes diamond and sapphire earrings, bracelets, and rings and their more affordable and equally stylish Blue line contains sterling silver necklaces.

Celebrities also received Platinum Stages stripper poles, Flowboard skate decks, Batman action figures, FP Jeans, and Insomnia Cookies.

I still don’t understand why in the crap these movie stars get all this bling and free products. They can afford the stuff, make them pay for it. I think our economy would be a bit better if all the movie stars didn’t get all their stuff for free. We should be giving the homeless these things and making the movie stars pay for them, its a twisted world we live in.
