Train to release new album
Train is back this Fall with their new studio album Save Me, San Francisco. The album will be released on October 27, 2009, but fans can purchase their first single, Hey, Soul Sister on iTunes.

This album reunites the band’s original line-up, which includes vocalist Pat Monahan, guitarist Jimmy Stafford and drummer Scott Underwood, since 2003s platinum offering, My Private Nation. I think taking time away from each other really made the heart grow fonder, Monahan said. We realized how important we were to one another and taking a few years off helped us all really look at ourselves and what we could contribute to this band.
Train is currently touring and are also planning a headlining Fall tour to support the album. See concert dates below:
8/08/09 Arlington, WA, Festival Of The Rivers
9/06/09 Naperville, IL, Naperville Last Fling
9/18/09 Temecula, CA, Pechanga Resort & Casino

American Idol searches for fourth judge

Now that Paula Abdul is officially out at American Idol, the search for a fourth judge has begun. While the show searches for a permanent replacement, A-list celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry will serve as guest judges during auditions. Fox chairman, Peter Rice says, “There is going to be a search. We love Paula. She’s been a really wonderful part of the show for eight years. There is going to be a change and that change we have to look at that as being a positive change. It wasn’t a decision we made, but we have to look at it in a positive way.” American Idol returns to the small screen in January 2010.

Paula Abdul leaves American Idol

Who needs a publicist when you have Twitter? Certainly not American Idol judge Paula Abdul, or should we say ex-American Idol judge. Abdul announced the end of her Idol days in a series of tweets stating, “With sadness in my heart, Ive decided not to return to Idol. Ill miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from Day 1 become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me. It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month. I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”
