As you may know Thursday, September 8th, was Fashion’s Night Out. Fashionable cities across the country, especially L.A. and NYC were buzzing with events.

The one that caught our eye was the Rockport and Dylan’s Candy Bar FNO event, which was hosted by Dylan Lauren (yes, Ralph Lauren’s daughter) and Rockport’s new style ambassador, Annabel Tollman. Celebrity guests included well-dressed actress Olivia Munn and male fashionista Andre Leon Talley.

Rockport and Dylan’s Candy Bar brought together women’s three guiltiest pleasures – shopping, shoes and sweets. They partnered with RISD for a candy shoe design student contest that featured 17 student designs entirely made of candy, chocolates and sweets.

The winner of the contest was RISD student Sarah Richards who received a $5,000 stipend from Rockport to further her education, a year’s worth of Rockport shoes, plus a complimentary membership to Dylan’s Candy Bar Candy of the Month Club.

Attendees decorated cookies, enjoyed sugary sweets and cocktails while receiving styling tips from Annabel Tollman. They were also fitted for the new Rockport Janae Pump featuring adiPRENE by adidas technology for maximum cushioning and shock absorption. You can get your own at Rockport.com for $130.

New Yorkers also had a chance to see the 650 pound Rockport Janae Pump that was made of candy on Lexington Ave and E 60th. This delicious shoe is currently being considered for the Guinness Book of World Records– good luck!
