Meet the Characters of “Step Up 3D”
By Julie Wiegan
Get a behind-the-scenes look and meet the characters from the new movie Step Up 3D. A tight-knit group of street dancers, including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Adam Sevani) to find themselves pitted against the world’s best hip-hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.
As the first-ever 3D dance drama, Step Up 3D is the first film of its kind to actually be shot in 3D—a rising technical phenomenon that thus far has been reserved for high-concept, big-budget films. It’s also the first 3D feature film to be shot entirely in New York City. Acclaimed director Jon M. Chu, who made his feature directorial debut on 2008’s box-office hit, “Step Up 2 The Streets,” returns to direct.
Step Up 3D is a Disney Pictures film and will be out in theaters Friday, August 6, 2010.
