In the documentary, Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer, Oscar winner Alex Gibney interviews the former New York governor, his powerful enemies, and a wild cast of characters from the Emperors Club to reveal the true story of Spitzer.

When Spitzer was New York’s Attorney General, he was nicknamed “The Sheriff of Wall Street” for prosecuting crimes by America’s largest financial institutions and some of the most powerful executives in the country. After becoming governor, many believed he was on his way to become America’s first Jewish President, but all that fell apart when the New York Times revealed that Spitzer had been with prostitutes.

Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer is a Magnolia Pictures film and will be in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on November 5th with a national roll out to follow.
