When best friends, Julie (Jennifer Westfeldt) and Jason (Adam Scott) see how different their married friends have become since having kids, they decide to avoid that fate. How? By having a child together while dating other people. While the idea may seem crazy to their circle of friends, Julie and Jason seem to make it work, at least for a while.

Recommendation: A-
You may think this is a story about a working woman who so desperately wants a child that she turns to her best guy friend to donate sperm. This is anything but that. Instead, writer and director, Jennifer Westfeldt, takes that common theme and tells it from a very different point of view that is both refreshing and clever.

Friends with Kids also stars Megan Fox, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, and Edward Burns. The film is in theaters today, March 9, 2012.

I dragged my husband to see this movie on Saturday and he liked it because of Megan Fox. He’s such a guy but I can’t be jealous she is megan fox. Anyway, I really enjoyed this movie. Thanks for the recommendation!

It was ok. Jon Hamm was worth seeing though. So glad Mad Men is back.
