The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Dr. Parnassus (Christopher Plummer), a gambling man, who has the gift of guiding the imaginations of others, won immortality after making a bet with the devil, Mr. Nick (Tom Waits), thousands of years ago. But when Parnassus meets the woman of his dreams, he makes a deal with the devil to be young again to win her over. Mr. Nick agrees on the condition that if he fathers a daughter, she becomes his property when she turns sixteen. Now that his only daughter Valentina (Lily Cole) is days away from her 16th birthday, Parnassus is in a race against time to save her.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus also stars Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Colin Farrell, Verne Troyer, and Andrew Garfield. This film is directed by Terry Gilliam and is a Sony Pictures Classics release that will be in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009.

I’m mostly going to watch this movie because it’s Heath Ledgers last film he did.
