Say No to Holiday Pounds!
Don’t let the holidays ruin your diet! Fresh Dining, Southern California’s fresh meal delivery service shares their ten top tips to eating great without packing on the pounds.

Eat less over the days leading into the celebration, and you will have some extra room for dessert.
No mindless snacking. Pay attention to what you eat and set limits. Snacking on auto-pilot will leave you full, tired and uninterested in exercise.
Limit the booze to a drink or two. Stick to light beer or clear alcohol mixed with diet beverage mixers.
Stay away from eggnog and you won’t have to worry about trying to burn off those calories in 2008.
Practice portion control. It’s fine to indulge, but eat sensibly-sized portions and don’t go back for seconds or thirds.
Don’t be force-fed by letting your family and friends guilt you into eating the endless array of desserts. Just tell them you’ll have a couple of bites because you’re watching your weight.
Stick with protein and vegetables if there are a variety of dishes to choose from.
Snack on fruit instead of holiday cookies to preserve your waistline.
Learn to cook healthy by using less sugar and butter or sugar substitutes when possible.
Exercise. Getting in a workout or two or even a couple of brisk walks daily will help burn calories.
