Lauren Pritchard to debut “Wasted In Jackson” in October
Lauren Pritchard will release her debut album Wasted In Jackson on October 26, 2010 on Universal Republic. The 22-year-old singer is best known for playing Ilse in the original off-Broadway production of Spring Awakening.

Pritchard is currently based in London but was raised in Jackson, Tennessee, and moved to Los Angeles at 16 to pursue her music career. She played keyboards and sung background vocals with a reggae band and performed in local theatrical productions to make ends meet. Pritchard was about to go back home when she ran out of money, but her friend Riley Keough and her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, let her stay with them, to pursue her music and finish high school. When she graduated, she moved to New York after winning the role of Ilsa in Spring Awakening, which she played for two years. Shortly after, Pritchard was signed to Universal by Darcus Beese, who had also signed Amy Winehouse. She has gone on to perform at the Glastonbury, Latitude and iTunes festivals, and has opened a UK tour for Florence and The Machine.
