Brandi Carlile to “Give Up The Ghost”
Brandi Carlile will release her new album Give Up The Ghost on October 6, 2009, which features Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers multi-instrumentalist Benmont Tench, and drummer Chad Smith and Amy Ray of The Indigo Girls.

Carlile also had the chance to work with her idol Elton John who duets with her on the song Caroline. “I’ve been listening to country and western music my whole life and I was totally immersed in Grand Ole Opry culture, wherein the entertainers are usually not the ones who wrote the music. But when I was 11 and discovered Elton John, I realized that performers do write and perform their own songs, and I immediately went out and got a keyboard and started writing.”
Carlile will begin touring nationwide in September to promote the new album.
Sept 10 Salt Lake City, UT The Depot
Sept 11 Boulder, CO Chautauqua Auditorium (SOLD OUT)
Sept 12 Ft. Collins, CO Mishawaka Amphitheatre
Sept 14 Kansas City, MO Beaumont Club
Sept 15 St. Louis, MO The Pageant

Train to release new album
Train is back this Fall with their new studio album Save Me, San Francisco. The album will be released on October 27, 2009, but fans can purchase their first single, Hey, Soul Sister on iTunes.

This album reunites the band’s original line-up, which includes vocalist Pat Monahan, guitarist Jimmy Stafford and drummer Scott Underwood, since 2003’s platinum offering, My Private Nation. “I think taking time away from each other really made the heart grow fonder,” Monahan said. “We realized how important we were to one another and taking a few years off helped us all really look at ourselves and what we could contribute to this band.”
Train is currently touring and are also planning a headlining Fall tour to support the album. See concert dates below:

Paris for President music video

As fun as it would be to have Paris Hilton as our next U.S President, sadly she is not running. But if she were, she sings about her stance on today’s most pressing issues– global warming, gay marriage, and the economy, in her new music video Paris for President.
