Don’t miss Kristin Davis as she presents the Fashion For Life 2007 Vision Award to Cameron Silver, co-owner of Decades, Inc. and Creative Director of Azzaro. The ceremony will commemorate Silver’s artistic vision and personal contributions to both society and Los Angeles fashion.

There will even be a live fashion show from seven of Los Angeles’ best designers, including Miss Davenporte, Corey Lynn Calter, J. Mary, Susana Mercedes, Mike & Chris, Avita, and Paige Premium Denim.

Of course this is all for a good cause. There will also be a silent auction benefiting Friendly House, a non-profit organization that provides residential homes to women recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. No woman in crisis is turned away! They help women break the cycle of addiction, renew family relationships, and achieve productive community reintegration. hairmodel1.jpg Join Pivot Point International as they sponsor a Cut-A-Thon to raise money for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) on Friday, May 25th which is National Missing Children’s Day.

There’s so much you can get done – hair styling, hair and scalp treatments, color services, facials, body wraps, makeup application and nail services. And don’t forget to take advantage of their special discounts on select hair, skin and other beauty-related products. Not only will you walk out looking red carpet ready, but all of the proceeds will be donated to the NCMEC.

Other cosmetology schools will also join Pivot Point’s nationwide effort by sponsoring their own events. “As a family-owned business, we first became interested in NCMEC nearly 10 years ago when we decided to use our resources to help the center in its mission of teaching children ways to stay safe. Since then we have helped raise more than $600,000,” says Corrine Passage, Executive Director of Pivot Point Cares for Kids.

Since the Internet has become a vehicle for exploitation of minors, the NCMEC is also focusing its attention on online safety. One in five girls and one in ten boys will be sexually exploited by the time they reach adulthood. In addition, one in seven kids will receive sexual solicitations online. The center remains the nation’s preeminent resource for recovering missing children. Since its establishment in 1984, the center has assisted law enforcement agencies with more than 127,700 missing child cases, resulting in the recovery of more than 110,200 children.
