Oscar suites ’08- what celebs got

Celebrities who visited the WOW! Creations Lifestyle Oscar Gift Lounge at the Hyatt hotel in West Hollywood were greeted with Vera Bradley bags to put their goodies in. They filled up on beauty products such as gift certificates to SmileWorks, the first medical and dental spa in Redondo Beach where stars can rejuvenate their skin and their smile; the Nail Art Diva Diva Basics Kit to decorate nails in different colors and designs at home; and skin and body products from Pure Body, an all natural, eco-friendly line that includes Citrus Body Butter, Lavendar Avocado Oil for Hair & Skin, and Anise flavored Shea Butter Lip Balm. South Beach Skincare gave away Anti-Wrinkle Lotion to prevent and repair wrinkles and Saphoros Spa Essentials had three different skincare lines to choose from one of which included Organic Pumpkin Mask, Botanical toner, Organic lip balm & lip scrub. After receiving all these fabulous beautifying gifts, they stepped into the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy chamber to help detoxify their bodies of toxins.


When it came to food and drinks, there was quite a selection too. Celebs like reality star Omarosa snacked on Corazonas heart healthy chips, which are delicious and help lower cholesterol; fruits covered in Valrhona chocolate from Fruits to Remember, and took home Fudge is my Life chocolate sauces. Then they washed it all down with alcohol from The Margarita King, or Goji Grand Liquer which uses real Goji to help improve vision, strengthen liver function, and reduce cholesterol and blood pressure. If they weren’t drinking, they re-energized with Java Monster, the new coffee flavored drink from Monster Energy Drink, which has the caffeine of regular coffee but twice the buzz, or replenished with Hint Water and took home some True Lemon powder mix that can be added to water to make lemonade or used for teas and other delicious recipes requiring a fresh lemon taste.


Artists Rose Yoko and Sonya Paz showed off their distinct works. Yoko gifted beautiful headbands and barrettes while Paz showcased her art on mugs, dog dishes and other items. Celebs also picked up beaded bracelets in a variety of colors from Jewelry Television and Prensus adjustable purse hangers so they’ll never have to place their designer bags on the floor ever again.


At the 9900 Club in Beverly Hills, Debbie Durkin held her annual Main Event Red Carpet Lounge where celebrities walked away with gifts for themselves and their pets. Diedre Hall of Days of Our Lives took home bead and gemstone jewelry from Alyse Ziede, one-of-a-kind handmade pieces using Mother of Pearl, Swarovski crystals, and semi-precious stones from Heather Hyde, Michelle Roy jewelry and luxury watches from Curtis & Co.


Ya Ya Beauty gave Boom Boom Hair colors which helps make thinning hair look fuller and temporarily colors roots until you can get to the salon. They gave a dark brown-black to Britney Spears’s paparazzi boy-toy Adnan who’s thinning in the front and two colors in blonde and brown to give to Britney for her ever changing hair colors. They also applied Lash It Eyelash Extensions which last for 3-6 weeks, curled eyelashes that lasts for two months and performed paraffin foot and hand massage treatments.

For their sweet tooth, celebs indulged on the delicious Nothing Bundt Cakes in Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Swirl, or Banana Nut. Unlike other bundt cakes, they fill in the middle so there’s no hole. They refueled with Slim Secrets energy bars that has less than 100 calories per bar and washed it all down with cold VaVa Water.


Celebs weren’t the only ones enjoying great gifts, they also took home clothes for their dogs from Happy Go Lucky Dogs which caters to all sizes from 2lbs to 200lbs and rock‘n roll style clothing and accessories from K9Duds. Cat owners received gift certificates for Kitty High-Rise furniture, which includes an elegant bed, filtered litter box, a dining area, a recreation area, and a nail salon so their cats can live in luxury too.


The Kress, a new restaurant in Hollywood was the home to the Silver Spoon Oscar suite where celebrities like Shannon Elizabeth and Tara Reid, both of American Pie fame left with Charlie Lapson purses, country-style Desert Blue Jeans, Park Lane jewelry that can be worn for casual or special occasions, Kumi Kookoon silk loungewear, and stylish convertible bags from Turtle Wireless, which holds the 5 essentials for women – cell phone, ID card, money, keys and lipstick.


They also received gift certificates to the Voda Spa in West Hollywood, which has male and female only days and a VIP room for private parties, Dr. Dima’s Cosminology mineral makeup and skincare line that goes on so light you won’t even feel like you’re wearing makeup, and Adorage anti-aging skincare, which has a secret French formula that protects skin from environmental stress.

And of course there were food and drinks! Teuscher chocolate had samples of their decadent champagne truffles; Yakult was promoting their delicious health drink which can be delivered to your door if you’re too lazy to go to the supermarket; alcohol lovers will love Marani Premium Vodka whose unique flavor is because it is distilled three times with honey and dried skim milk; and top all of with Altoids to freshen breath which comes in an assortment of flavors such as Ginger, Dark Chocolate Peppermint, Cinnamon, Spearmint and original Peppermint.


At the GBK Oscar Suite, not only did celebrities like American Idol’s Paula Abdul and Girl’s Next Door’s Kendra enjoy great gifts, but 20% of the proceeds were donated to charities that included Leeza’s Place, Global Green, Project Nightlight and the WGA.

They received all-natural skincare products from RD Alchemy to help prevent, protect, and treat skin; Revitalash, which helps lashes grow longer and fuller; and Dr. Catrice Austin of VIP Smiles gave away $5000 smile makeover gift certificates.


The girls got beach ready picking out traditional preppy bikinis from Lindsay Condron Swimwear. Kendra picked one up for herself, Bridget and an argyle suit for Holly. Perry Ellis gave the guys and girls clothing from their new Spring collection. Hu Energy Fashion gifted pendants that helps balance a person’s own energy with other incoming energies so only the good energy remains. They also received cool Iky Clothing tees, Kathleen Kirkwood Flower Power bra strap cushions, Croton watches, Cinzia sunglasses, and gift certificates to S. Brown which details watches with diamonds.


Oscar nominees such as Amy Ryan received Sony Vaio laptops from Office Max and $500 gift certificates from 100Candles.com which has a selection of over 4000 items. They also received Gilty Couture iPod and iPhone jewelry cases, Pan Digital photo frames, and a $25,000 buy into the World Poker Tournament Celebrity Invitational.

Roger Neal’s SHM Academy Awards gifting suite and dinner was held in the Penthouse at the Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills where celebs like Allison Janney of Juno and film star Angela Bassett got red carpet ready with oxygen facials from Iduna Spa, hair styling services by Joico stylists, and Daniel Dinh of Twin Lashes lengthened eyelashes with extensions.


Natalie K Diamonds unveiled a one-of-a-kind 35 carat diamond hair accessory valued at $1 million while Maggie Ferrari Jewelry showed off their one-of-a-kind $500,000 Jelly Belly jelly bean necklace which was made of diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and other gems. Jelly Belly unveiled an original portrait of Oscar nominee George Clooney which is made with 10,000 Jelly Belly jelly beans.


After enjoying the suite, celebs received gift bags worth $15,000 that included a 3 day and 3 night stay at Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa in Sedona, Arizona; Leitz Antique crystal necklaces; Tyler’s Fine Coffees; Pink Dot P.I.N.K. Fusion Vodka; Amanda Adams Couture embellished tees; Dirt Candles; China Glaze Nail Lacquer; B-Dazzle ipod cases by Turtle Wireless; and Arizona Loco Cocoa mix.

Of course, this was all for a good cause. Stars autographed a beautiful Nicole Barr belt which will be auctioned off to raise money for her charity B.E.L.T.S that helps feed children.
