Black Eyed Peas ‘Hijacks’ MySpace

Starting today, the Black Eyes Peas will be the first band to take over the newly redesigned Myspace website as part of the “Hijacks” program. The new program allows talent to take control of the social networking site for three days where they reveal how they would program the site if they were in charge, premiere exclusive content, and provide interesting opportunities to users.

“We’re psyched to be the first group to take over the new Myspace,” said. “As artists we’re always looking for new ways to reach our fans all over the world and this ‘hijack’ is allowing us to use our imagination, bringing our creative vision from our new album to the world of Myspace.”

The Black Eyed Peas’ version of Myspace includes:

* Contest allowing one major fan to win the chance to be a part of an upcoming music video for The Black Eyed Peas:
* Exclusive 8-bit video game:
* Augmented reality app where fans can play with 8-bit images and capture photos to share across their various networks:
* Customized 8-bit profile themes designed by the band
* Limited edition badge being awarded only during the band’s takeover
* Featured playlist of songs chosen by the band
* Music videos spotlighting The Black Eyed Peas’ favorite musicians
* Fergie’s fashion picks
